Created in autumn 2005 under the name “Hope For India” and changed on 1st of May 2008 to Heart For India, the Foundation is a non-political, non-governmental and non religious organization involved in an orphanage and in different programs concerning education, health and nutrition, professional training. These programs are settled on the Indian Subcontinent and concern destitute children.
The Foundation is registered in Bern, Switzerland, according to the federal law.

Mrs. Minnie Sarah Abraham is employed directly by the Foudation as an International Program Manager. She works every day on the fields, controlling the presence of the teachers and the children, their health status, the quality of the food we distribute them, and handle any problem which could appear.

Mr. Javid Shah as a Director Manager, is leading all our relations with the local authorities, with the Tamil Nadu's representatives, and the NGO with witch we are working through.

We collaborate with local non-governmental organizations

All the administrative costs in India and in Switzerland are taken in charge by the kind generosity of the Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza.
We KEEP CONTROL over the expenses and CO-PARTICIPATE as project manager on site. That is why:

Global Citizen Karmaveer Puraskaar 2009 award

 

Princess Françoise Sturdza-Roberts, CEO of Heart for India Foundation has received the "Global Citizen Karmaveer Puraskaar 2009" in recognition of the work achieved in Chennaï with poor children.

For example, the Nanmangalam school has been recognized as a model by the government of Tamil Nadu and have become a inspiration for the other schools of similar nature.
