Dear friends, Heart For India is born from a love story with India, a country which fascinates me with its beauty, its diversity and its spirit. It touches me by the harmony it radiates. The smiles of the habitants, whatever their life conditions are, are like sunshine of happiness for those who know how to receive them. I fell in love with this country ten years ago. This same feeling brought the committee members of Heart For India and the "Heart Ambassadors" together. Since 5 years, Heart For India has settled its education, food and nutrition, health and hygiene programs in 3 government schools, 2 professional training centers and a home "Girls town 2" for backward girls and teenagers. Heart For India provides meals to 1800 children of Chennai (South India). Each time I am there, I notice the improvements. The children and the teenagers really enjoy going to school and participating to manual and sport activities. Teachers and pupils are united and all aim at succeeding. Our work has been recognized by upgrading of Nanmangalam this year (2010-2011) to a "HighSchool". In the meantime, we have received the "Karmaveer Puraskaar Award" in the category of "Global Citizen". Every franc, every dollar, every euro given is allocated to the children. We need you, Children need us, Heart For India is the expression and the proof that by joining our hearts, our abilities and our resources, we can move to more solidarity. The children thank you! On April 27th a Special Day was organized by Heart for India to end the school year. Children, parents, teachers and governmental and local authorities were invited. |
